    ASA offers repair course at events

    BEDFORD, Texas-The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is offering a three-hour seminar, ``You Have the Right to Repair,'' at ASA-affiliate events.

    Live demonstrations of many of the original equipment manufacturers' repair data Web sites are presented during this course, which teaches participants how to implement necessary changes to take advantage of these non-traditional resources of information. The seminar includes an analysis of current service information availability issues and is a ``must'' for owners and employees of auto service shops, ASA said.

    TRIB's next board meeting June 22

    PACIFIC GROVE, Calif.-The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) will hold its next board meeting Tuesday, June 22 in Dallas.

    The TRIB meeting, from 1-3 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, is open, and guests are welcome.

    TRIB said a meeting of the Tread Rubber Manufacturers and Repair Group (TRMG) will be held in the morning prior to the board meeting, and a Retread/Repair Industry Government Advisory Council (RIGAC) meeting will be held after the TRIB board meets.

    Ohio dealers plan June meeting

    COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association will hold its annual convention and suppliers showcase June 25-27 at the Cincinnati Marriott North Hotel in Cincinnati.

    Activities will include a golf outing at the Shaker Run Golf Club, a riverboat cruise and an outing to Kings Island amusement park. Larry Morgan, president of the Tire Industry Association, will be the keynote speaker.

    Autopromotec slated for '05

    BOLOGNA, Italy-Promotec S.R.L. is organizing the 21st Autopromotec exhibition May 18-22, 2005, at the Exhibition Center in Bologna.

    Autopromotec is an international exhibition of automotive products and equipment. In 2003, 936 exhibitors and 83,350 visitors from 103 countries attended Autopromotec. The Bologna Exhibition Center is expected to increase in floor space and parking lots by 2005.
