WASHINGTON (May 3, 2004) — Ann Wilson, senior vice president of government affairs for the Rubber Manufacturers Association, is leaving the RMA to become vice president of government affairs for the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).
Her new job at MEMA starts June 1, exactly six years to the day after she joined the RMA.
“This is clearly a step up for Ann, with a bigger budget and bigger responsibility,” said RMA President Donald B. Shea. “She's given us the very best, and that's exactly what we wish her.”
The association has begun the search for Ms. Wilson's successor, Mr. Shea added, and RMA staff will fulfill different aspects of Ms. Wilson's duties until a successor is named. The search has not yet been narrowed down as to whether Ms. Wilson's successor will come from within or outside the RMA, he said.
