Dobbs Tire opens rebuilt store
HIGH RIDGE, Mo.-Dobbs Tire & Auto Center has opened its rebuilt flagship store in Webster Groves, Mo., that burned down about one year ago.
The new store, which was rebuilt from the ground up, opened March 22. The store had grand opening festivities in early April and its official ribbon cutting April 7. The former 30-year-old store-the first for the High Ridge-based dealership-was destroyed by fire April 3, 2003. No one was injured in the accidental fire.
The damage was so extensive that the entire building had to be razed, and in its place the company built a larger, 8,000-sq.-ft. facility with many updates. During the construction, Dobbs Tire also opened two other shops for a total of 39.
