Bridgestone/Firestone's GCR Tire Centers business has won Vulcan Material Co.'s Gold Service Award through an annual survey of Vulcan's locations, designed to rate the performance of individual suppliers.
GCR Tire, part of Bridgestone/Firestone Retail & Commercial Operations' Commercial Tire Group, was among suppliers that received the highest scores on the surveys.
Birmingham, Ala.-based Vulcan Material produces construction aggregates and materials and industrial chemicals. GCR services 90 of Vulcan's 310 locations in eight states and Mexico. BFS said GCR has won the silver service award for the past four years.
