AKRON (April 8, 2004) — Goodyear will raise prices up to 4 percent on all of its brands in various segments, effective May 1.
The increases apply to the tire maker's Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly and associate brands. Goodyear cited rising raw materials and energy costs as reasons for the increase.
The following increases will be instituted: 2-4 percent on consumer tires; 2-3 percent on commercial tires; 2-4 percent on off-the-road tires; and 2.5 percent on farm tires.
