AKRON (April 7, 2004) — Goodyear this week will launch a Web site, www.goodyearassurance.com, dedicated to its new Assurance line of tires.
The Web site will include various sections for consumers, including a “find a tire” function, a retailer locator, an overview of Assurance technology, a pre-order function to order tires before visiting a retail outlet, Assurance computer wallpaper and screen savers and registration for e-mail rotation reminders and tire registration.
The Assurance line—including the TripleTred all-season tire and the ComforTred touring tire—is appearing in retail outlets this spring. ComforTred already is available while TripleTred is coming in limited sizes this month, Goodyear said.
“We will continue to add more features to the site over the next few months, including a way for customers to give feedback on how the tires have performed for them,” said Jeanne Sherman, Goodyear's director of new products for North American Tire. “Additional items, such as commentary from the scientists who developed the tires, will be coming, too.”
