DETROIT (March 25, 2004) — Michelin North America Inc. is looking for entrants for the next Michelin Challenge Design automotive competition.
Work from the design competition, which challenges people to submit drawings, scale models or vehicles, is featured at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit at the beginning of the year. Michelin establishes a theme for the designers, and entries are reviewed by an international panel of top designers. Those selected will go on display at the major auto show. In 2004, 38 designers from 16 countries had their work on display.
The 2005 challenge will focus on vehicles and vehicle designs that demonstrate the influence of German design, the events, people and icons that have inspired the international automotive design community, Michelin said. The deadline for entries is April 15.
The competition is open to all designers from students to professionals. For details, go to www.michelinchallengedesign.com.
