AKRON (March 16, 2004) — Goodyear has confirmed its past statement that it would miss its deadline to file a 2003 10-K form with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and it does not expect to file it by March 30.
Akron-based Goodyear said last month that it would likely miss the March 15 deadline as its investigation continues into possible improper accounting issues in Europe. Goodyear filed for an extension March 16.
Goodyear also has yet to file its amended 2002 10-K following last year's restatement of more than five years worth of earnings. The SEC has launched a formal investigation into that restatement.
