BETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 24, 2004) — The Car Care Council Women's Board will offer more scholarships this year in an effort to recruit and retain women in the automotive aftermarket industry.
The board said it will award a $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to female students who have completed at least one year in an ASE-certified, post-secondary automobile technology program and plan on entering the automotive field upon graduation. The board also will award two $500 scholarships to high school female students who will attend the required post-secondary program.
The deadline for applications is June 15. The deadline for the high school scholarships is April 1.
