FINDLAY, OHIO (Feb. 10, 2004) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Michael J. Linhart director of brand marketing, responsible for leading the management and coordination of Cooper's brand strategy initiative.
Mr. Linhart's duties will include sales planning and working in direct coordination with advertising and pricing as it relates to the brand strategy, according to the Findlay-based tire maker. He also will supervise performance marketing, work with competitive intelligence and will be part of global brand coordination.
After joining Cooper's marketing department in 1990 as a marketing assistant, he became a territory sales manager in 1990 and was promoted to manager of inner tube sales in 1993. In 1995, he was named regional sales manager and was promoted to director/national sales manager for the Mastercraft brand in 1997—the position he held until his most recent promotion.
A native of Findlay, Mr. Linhart graduated from Findlay High School in 1983 and received a bachelor´s degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1987.
