DETROIT (Jan. 20, 2004) — The North American International Auto Show in Detroit reached its second-highest attendance level this year with 808,833 attendees.
The auto show, in its 16th year, also raised $7 million at the Charity Preview, organizers said. More than 700 vehicles — and a number of concept tires, as well — were on display.
“This year, the more than 79 vehicle introductions set the pace for the industry for the year and kicks off what we expect to be a banner sales year,” said Chuck Fortinberry, NAIAS senior co-chairman.
