NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 9, 2004) — Bridgestone/Firestone announced management changes at its Oklahoma City and Wilson, N.C., plants.
Jim Pridgen, currently plant manager in Oklahoma City, will assume the same responsibilities in Wilson, effective March 1. He replaces Kaz Nishigai, who is returning to Japan for a new assignment with Bridgestone Corp.
Barry Owens, currently division manager of operations at BFS's Warren County, Tenn., truck and bus tire plant, will succeed Mr. Pridgen in Oklahoma City.
In addition, Dave Grass, president of Firestone Building Products, an operating unit of another Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. subsidiary, BFS Diversified Products (BFDP), will retire Feb. 1. Mike Gorey will succeed Mr. Grass and also was named chairman, CEO and president of BFDP.
Mr. Gorey previously was vice president and controller for Bridgestone Americas and chief financial officer for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire (BFNT). John Vispo, currently controller, BFNT manufacturing operations, will succeed Mr. Gorey.
