O.K. Tire Stores Inc. was named the preferred place of business in the 2003 automobile tire retailer category of the Consumers' Choice Award, the Langley-based dealership said.
The annual award is presented by the Consumers Choice Institute (Canada) and the Consumers Choice Institute (U.S.A.). The groups survey consumers in major cities and ask open-ended questions about which business they consider best in each category, according to the groups' Web site. The process is aimed at garnering true consumer opinion, the groups said, instead of a determination by a panel of judges.
This year is the third consecutive win in its category for O.K. Tire, which has more than 235 independent tire and auto service locations. The company said it posts annual retail sales in excess of $250 million (Canadian).
