The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced dates for its Winter 2004 Commercial Tire Service Truck Tire Training Tour.
Following a successful fall training tour, TIA said it scheduled another series of back-to-back, one-day technician training and certification seminars. The format, usually held at local hotels, is designed to allow tire dealers to split their work force to give all of them access to the training.
The winter tour kicks off Jan. 27 in Philadelphia and travels to eight other cities before finishing in Seattle. The cost for the training is $250 for each technician who needs a copy of the CTS manual and $175 for each technician who already has a copy.
``This is an excellent opportunity for any size company to get their commercial tire service technicians trained and certified,'' Larry Morgan, president of TIA, said in a statement. ``We've had tremendous success in the past with the CTS Tour and intend to build on that with another round of seminars.''
The tour will cover the following cities: Philadelphia, Jan. 27-28; Richmond, Va., Jan. 29-30; Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 3-4; Cincinnati, Feb. 5-6; Chicago, Feb. 10-11; Madison, Wis., Feb. 12-13; Des Moines, Iowa, Feb. 17-18; Salt Lake City, Feb. 19-20; Portland, Ore., Feb. 24-25; Seattle, Feb. 26-27.
