AKRON (Dec. 2, 2003) — Goodyear has named two executives to its global functions, the tire maker said.
Robert Novotny was named vice president, Global Engineering & Manufacturing Technology. He replaces Ernest Rodia, who is retiring after 37 years with the company. Mr. Novotny served as director of global plant engineering and capital projects since 2000. He joined Goodyear in 1978.
The Akron-based tire maker also named Dipinder Singh as director of global requirements planning. In this post, he will work with the sales and marketing teams in each of Goodyear's business units to develop initiatives to support global sourcing decisions. Most recently he served as director, global market intelligence and strategy. He joined Goodyear in 2002.
