NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 17, 2003) — Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) has launched Winterforce, its latest winter tire line within its associate brand family of tires.
“The new line is an outstanding value at an affordable price,” said Phil Pacsi, executive director, North American consumer tire marketing for BFS. “The Winterforce is designed to deliver a quiet and comfortable ride to your destination—regardless of weather conditions.”
The Winterforce is “stepped, siped and studable” for superior winter driving and is available in 33 sizes, BFS said. The tire features high-sipe density and three-dimensional tread patterns and offers snow, wet and ice traction. Winterforce also features a computer-modeled unidirectional tread designed to provide optimum traction accompanied by a quiet, comfortable ride.
The line meets Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) and Rubber Manufacturers of Canada (CMA) severe snow requirements and is pinned for #12 studs to offer extra grip.
An eye-catching “winter mountain theme” sidewall design adorns every size of the Winterforce line.
Recently, BFS created the “Blizzak Chill Zone,” a designated area on its consumer tire Web site to educate consumers about driving in wintry conditions, offer winter driving tips as well as other information about winter tires. The “Blizzak Chill Zone” can be logging onto www.bridgestonetire.com and then following the link on the home page.
