FULLERTON, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2003) — Yokohama Tire Corp. has expanded its Web site by adding a commercial tire section for its medium truck and off-the-road tire dealers and end-users.
The section is located at www.yokohamatire.com and went live Oct. 1.
“We are very excited about this launch,” said Art Michalik, Yokohama's director of marketing communications. “This is a very comprehensive site that will not only provide detailed product and program information to our customers, but will serve as a valuable sales tool.”
Created to be user-friendly, the site details information on product-related issues including product line-up, applications, technology, tire construction, data and size charts, an interactive application chart for off-the-road tires, warranty information, sales support and a dealer locator, according to Yokohama.
Other features include access to the Fullerton-based tire maker's customer service, cost-saving guide, territory maps and field engineering maps for easy location of Yokohama Commercial personnel. A “Tireology” section on the site covers tire construction, compounding and retreading.
