NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 23, 2003) — Bridgestone/Firestone plans to feature a group of high-profile race vehicles as well as appearances by Mario and Michael Andretti at its exhibit at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show, Nov. 4-7 in Las Vegas.
The Andrettis will meet fans and sign autographs at the booth. Mario Andretti will appear from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 5, and Michael Andretti will appear from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 6.
The tire maker's display in the Wheels & Performance Tires section of the show also will include replicas of the 2002 Michael Schumacher Ferrari Formula One World Championship racecar with Bridgestone Potenza tires and the car driven by 2003 Indy Racing League Champion Scott Dixon on Firestone Firehawk racing slicks. The display also features a customized aftermarket project vehicle, a 2003 Honda Civic Si and a race simulator.
“Bridgestone/Firestone has a long and illustrious history in motorsports, and our booth will showcase our racing involvement in the premier open wheel series: Formula One, IRL and CART racing,” said Phil Pacsi, executive director of North American Consumer Tire Brand Marketing.
The exhibit also will include displays from various Bridgestone Americas companies and their products.
