FINDLAY, Ohio (Oct. 22, 2003) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. recently hired a litigation counsel and two regional credit managers for its tire operations.
Matthew Flannery was named to the post in the corporate legal department. He has more than 10 years of legal experience, the company said, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Cooper also named Kevin Kummerer and Douglas Brown to regional credit managers for the tire operations. Mr. Kummerer will be responsible for administering credit and maintaining accounts receivable for independent Cooper dealers in the tire maker's southern sales region. He will develop new and existing accounts as well as establish credit limits for new and existing customers. Mr. Kummerer joined Cooper in 2000 as business planning manager.
Mr. Brown will be responsible for establishing and administering credit as well as maintaining accounts receivable for independent Cooper and Oliver dealers in the tire maker's Great Lakes sales region. He also will develop new and existing portfolios and establish credit limits for accounts. He has worked at Cooper for about 11 years.
