FONTANA, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2003)—Kumho Tires USA has signed on for the third consecutive year as the sponsor of the 6th Annual 12 Hours at the Point endurance race.
The June 4-5, 2004, event at Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, W.Va., will pit sports cars and sedans against each other in an around-the-clock race organized by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). The annual 12 Hours at the Point is the longest running perennial amateur race sanctioned by SCCA and attracts competitors from across the U.S., the racing organization said.
“Kumho Tires has stepped up to the plate to support SCCA endurance racing, and their sponsorship is vital in making these events successful,” said William Radford, DC region director for SCCA.
Fontana-based Kumho also sponsors the Kumho Tires Tropical 12 Hours in Florida.
