MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Oct. 10, 2003) — TBC Corp. will release its third quarter earnings after the stock market closes Oct. 21, followed by a conference call the next morning.
The results will be the first since the Memphis-based private brand marketer announced Sept. 22 it will buy 226 National Tire & Battery stores from Sears, Roebuck and Co. for $260 million. That sale is expected to close by Dec. 1.
For the third quarter, TBC is expected to report earnings of 43 cents per share, according to a Thomson First Call survey of analysts. In 2002's third quarter, TBC posted net income of $7.6 million, or 35 cents per share.
The conference call will begin at 10 a.m. EDT Oct. 22 and will be available on TBC's Web site, www.tbccorp.com.
