CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Oct. 3, 2003) — American Tire Distributors Inc. plans to give a Dell computer to dealers who meet buying levels of Bridgestone tires from Sept. 28 to Nov. 21.
Dealers whose purchases include 300 Bridgestone passenger and light truck units will get the computer shipped to their business. The order must have a mix of at least 80 light truck units, the Charlotte-based distributor said.
The system includes a desktop computer, a 13.8-inch color monitor, keyboard, 56K modem, re-writable CD drive and a 1.3 GHz 256K Celeron processor with a 20 GB hard drive and Windows XP Home Edition operating system.
ATD also will give dealers double HeafNet Rewards points for online purchases of Bridgestone light truck tires during October and November. The points are redeemable for certain travel and merchandise items, the company said.
