NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 23, 2003) — Bridgestone/Firestone will hold a beauty contest for vehicles outfitted with Bridgestone-brand tires at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas Nov. 4-7.
SEMA-member vehicle builders and companies preparing a vehicle can enter the contest by completing an entry form and submitting a photo of the vehicle by Oct. 27. Everyone who enters will receive a Bridgestone-brand gift after the show. A panel of judges—all Bridgestone/Firestone employees—will pre-select 20 entries before the show then review the remaining vehicles during the event.
The top three winners will receive cash prizes of $2,500, $1,000 and $500, respectively plus a trophy and plaque. The first-place vehicle also will participate in a limited national promotional tour and appear in a Bridgestone ad in a post-show issue of SEMA News.
Vehicles will be judged based on uniqueness, overall appearance, how well the vehicle accentuates the tires, most innovative paint scheme, best use of accessories, underhood appearance and interior/exterior carryover.
Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Bridgestone booth.
