Eight top automotive service industry instructors will teach technical education courses at the 2003 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS), Nov. 6-8 during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas.
The theme for this year's event, being held at the Tropicana Resort & Casino, is ``Automotive Service-The Next Generation.''
Participants will include Jim Linder and Doug Garriott, both of Linder Technical Services, who will tackle electronic service information and fuel systems. Jorge Menchu, of Automotive Electronics Services Inc., will help techs develop strategies for analyzing complex electronic systems.
Vince Fischelli, of Veejer Enterprises, will conduct a three-hour hands-on electrical clinic. Chris Chesney, of Carquest Technical Institute, will address the new challenges of the latest OBD II systems.
Mike Joachim, of Melior Inc., will help techs utilize the data collected by their scan tools. Brad Davis, of Identifix, will cover Toyota driveability diagnostics. Craig Van Batenburg, of the Automotive Career Development Center, will share organization procedures and skills vital to a service operation.
