FONTANA, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2003)—Kumho Tire USA named Dan Davis manager of public relations, a newly-created position for the Fontana-based tire maker.
Mr. Davis, who worked for two years as a public relations consultant to the company, is responsible for handling media relations with trade and consumer publications, producing Kumho's dealer newsletter and handling public relations for Kumho's motorsport and dealer ride-and-drive programs.
Before working with Kumho, Mr. Davis worked in the Cleveland office of Golin/Harris, a Chicago-based public relations agency. He will remain in his Cleveland-area office in his new position with Kumho.
“His public relations expertise has helped us dramatically improve our media relations efforts, and his passion for motorsports makes him an asset to Kumho because he understands the critical function that tires perform, whether on the race track or in every day driving,” Mike Leverington, director of marketing for Kumho, said of Mr. Davis.
