DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (July 25, 2003) — Racing entrepreneur Jack Roush, who runs Roush Industries, will give opening remarks at the 2003 SEMA New Product Awards Breakfast on Nov. 4 in Las Vegas.
The breakfast precedes the 9 a.m. opening of the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show/International Tire Expo.
Mr. Roush, from Livonia, Mich., has participated in racing as a driver, builder, tuner, engine man and team owner. His cars have won almost 300 races and 29 championships, SEMA said. Roush Industries is a diversified engineering company with more than 2,000 employees at 50 locations in the U.S., Mexico and England. One division of the company, Roush Performance, builds high-performance, limited-production vehicles, including Ford Mustangs, Ford F-150 pickups and soon the Ford Focus. The division has delivered more than 5,000 vehicles to the performance aftermarket, SEMA said.
New product awards will be presented for various categories, from best new off-road/four-wheel drive product, to best new packaging design and best new performance racing product. Tickets are required for the breakfast, but are available free to SEMA show attendees.
