BUFFALO, N.Y. (July 16, 2003) — QBC Systems Inc. has launched TireServ Release 6.0 with enhanced point-of-sale featuring out-the-door pricing and suggestive selling management, the company said.
The new software will allow users to quickly look up tires and display inventory availability for the sales clerks according to price.
Developed to meet end-user demand, this enhanced POS system gives service clerks insight as to which tires management wants them to sell, according to QBC.
“When given the option, customers typically don't choose the most or least expensive tire; they choose something priced in the middle,” Jeff Collins, manager of Grand Premier Tire Center in East Greenbush, N.Y., said in a statement. “By using TireServ's point-of-sale features, we now have a way of suggestive selling that helps our counter guys sell the more profitable tires, as well as providing them with multiple item prices, including out-the-door.”
Buffalo-based QBC is a software developer for tire wholesalers and retailers.
