MUSCATINE, Iowa (June 27, 2003)—Bandag Inc. has named Amy P. Hutton, an associate professor at Harvard University, to its board of directors to replace Lucille A. Carver, who retired in May 2002.
Ms. Hutton, an associate professor at Harvard's Graduate School of Business Administration, teaches both M.B.A. and executive courses on financial reporting and disclosure. Also, from January to June 2003, she has been a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Beginning July 1, she will take a post as associate professor of business administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.
Ms. Hutton will begin serving on Bandag's board of directors immediately, the company said. She will stand for election by Bandag shareholders at the May 2004 annual meeting.
