HEMET, Calif. (June 4, 2003) — Ramona Tire and Service Centers plans to open its 13th location in the coming weeks, said Chris Wyborny, vice president and general manager.
The new location, in Murrieta, Calif., will have nine service bays. Murrieta is a sister city of Temecula, where the Hemet-based dealership already has a presence.
“We just thought we needed some more market share in that (area)” Mr. Wyborny said.
Like the company's other outlets, the Murrieta store will stock Bridgestone, Firestone, BFGoodrich, Continental, General, Hankook, Kumho, Michelin and Yokohama brands.
Mr. Wyborny said the dealership also is surveying more sites, though he does not expect to open more stores this year. Ramona Tire primarily is looking at building new stores in order to enter newer markets.
“We've decided to figure out where you want a tire store instead of figuring out how to get there,” he said.
