AKRON (May 20, 2003) — Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly dealers can have round-the-clock access to Goodyear through the tire maker's next generation business-to-business Web site.
Tire-HQ was officially launched April 30 though dealers caught a glimpse of it at the company's February dealer meeting. It is the successor to XPLOR, Goodyear's original e-business tool. Since the launch of XPLOR five years ago, Goodyear said more than 8,000 users at 10,000 business locations used the software. Dealers with an existing XPLOR account will be able to use Tire-HQ.
“The launch of Tire-HQ is one of the first actions by our new supply chain organization to improve and simplify the customer experience,” said Jon Rich, president of North American Tire.
With the software, dealers can check tire availability, place orders, review order status and receive marketing or advertising communications. Goodyear said the program also includes online help.
