BEDFORD, Texas (May 13, 2003) — The Automotive Service Association has added a new member benefit and renewed another.
Members of the Bedford-based association are now eligible for Warranty Gold vehicle service contracts. With the service, businesses can offer customers an extended warranty to increase revenue, customer retention and loyalty, ASA said.
Shops using the service are paid full retail price at the time of the warranty repair for parts and labor, ASA said. The shops also will be included on Warranty Gold's national referral database used by the Austin, Texas-based company's contract holders.
“We are pleased to provide ASA national members this benefit because it will allow them to differentiate themselves as a business dedicated to providing outstanding service to their customers,” said John Scully, vice president of member services and operations for ASA.
ASA also renewed its agreement with Identifix, which provides members with diagnostic and repair information for nearly every make of vehicle through its hotline, fax and online services, the association said. The service had been a member benefit since 1991.
“Our members tell us Identifix helps them accurately diagnose and repair automobiles and, as a result, reduces the amount of time required for each repair,” Mr. Scully said.
