MEMPHIS, Tenn. (May 9, 2003)—American Car Care Centers has named Bill Williams, president of Jack Williams Tire in Moosic, Pa., as board chairman.
Mr. Williams replaces Claude Case, president of Charlie Case Tire in Phoenix, who served three consecutive two-year terms as chairman of the tire dealer marketing program beginning in 1997.
“To be elected by my peers to represent them for the next two years is a distinct honor,” Mr. Williams said. “ACCC has been the premier marketing organization since the inception but has reached a point where we need to step up our efforts and move to the next level.”
ACCC currently has 18 member distributors and 1,079 independent dealer locations in 45 states. Jack Williams Tire, one of those distributor members, operates 20 retail stores and a large wholesale division that includes 23 ACCC member dealers.
Mr. Williams said his plans are “to continue to strengthen the program, ask the membership for a recommitment to the core objectives of ACCC, and to be a in a better position to compete in an industry that is evolving rapidly.”
Len Lewin, ACCC president, called Mr. Williams one of the group's strongest supporters. “Bill's commitment to the core objectives of ACCC will certainly be a driving force in making us a stronger force in the industry,” he said.
