BURLINGTON, Mass. (March 12, 2003)—American Racing Equipment Inc. has enlisted the help of an outside company to trim its product development time while reducing product costs and increasing revenues.
Burlington-based Framework Technologies was tapped to help the wheel manufacturer with its goal, Framework said in a statement. The company said it plans to use its ActiveProduct solution, which aims to increase the development pace by linking all the parties involved with design and engineering. The purpose is to increase communication, allowing the immediate resolution of critical issues, Framework said.
“Our business is about automotive fashion,” said Andy Paskin, director of product engineering for Rancho Dominguez, Calif.-based American Racing. “Wheels are an accessory item, and consumers are always looking for new and unique designs. Continually bringing new products to market in a timely manner is critical to driving demand. And although we enjoy a competitive lead, we don't take our success for granted.”
