At its dealer conference in Orlando, Goodyear announced expanded agricultural product lines and sizes, as well as new promotions for its farm products.
Available in March is the new Goodyear Logger Lug II, a forestry tire in the LS-2 designation. The offerings include six different sizes/ply ratings. The tire features a steel-reinforced tread for protection against logging's job hazards, a specialized logging compound for chip/chunk/abrasion resistance and reinforced lug bracing to resist the tearing of tread lugs.
The Logger Lug II also features a deep tread for traction and tread-cleaning in wet conditions as well as a shield that protects the bead area from sharp objects.
The Goodyear SFT 105 is a new tire for turf applications where small utility tractors of 65-75 horsepower are used. The SFT 105 is offered in four sizes, with the first two sizes available in March. The SFT 105 features a button tread design, flat tread radius and squared shoulders, which are intended to provide optimum flotation and good wet traction with minimal soil disturbance, Goodyear said.
The Duratorque farm tire also is being offered in four new small sizes for small utility tractors. In addition to Duratorque, Goodyear said it is bringing to market this spring a number of new radial farm sizes that will fill gaps for equipment such as sprayers, combines and tractors.
The company also is boosting its ATV tire line to seven, expanding the Rawhide Grip by four sizes.
To promote its agricultural product lines, Goodyear is rolling out a new, no-risk offer called ``No Worries. No Catches. No Risk.'' This promotion offers buyers a one-year trial of Goodyear's premium farm radials. If a farmer is dissatisfied with the tires during the first year, he can return them for another Goodyear tire at no charge.
