MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Jan. 28, 2003) — TBC Corp. plans to offer two new lines for sport performance and light truck applications, the company said at its recent dealer meeting.
In the Cordovan line for light trucks, the new Wild Trac LTR is comparable to the company's Multi-Mile Wild Country Radial XTX unveiled in 2002. Replacing the Wild Trac RVT, the line will be available for shipment by the middle of the second quarter, TBC said.
The Wild Trac LTR's tread features multi-angled elements for performance both on- and off-road, Memphis-based TBC said. The line also includes appearance upgrades.
For sport performance, the company unveiled its Sport RLT line, which will feature nine of the popular plus-fitments in the light truck market. The sizes range from 18 to 23 inches, and the company said it expects larger sizes in the future. The tires have better wet and dry handling than current touring sport-utility tires and equal noise and ride characteristics, according to TBC.
That line is slated for production in late second quarter or early third quarter.
