SUWANEE, Ga. (Jan. 22, 2003) — For the third consecutive year, Maxxis International has been named one of General Motors Corp.'s top suppliers.
The Suwanee-based tire maker received the awards in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Its Maxxis tires are original equipment on select models of GM's Buick line.
The GM award is presented to suppliers that offer an exceptional combination of quality, service, delivery, pricing, technology and development, Maxxis said.
Maxxis operates seven manufacturing plants with distribution in more than 100 countries. The company—which is the North American representative for Taiwan's Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Co. Ltd.—produces tires for bicycles, passenger cars, light trucks, lawn and garden, motorcycles, ATVs and industrial applications as both original equipment and aftermarket products.
