FINDLAY, Ohio (Jan. 21, 2003) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. elected John J. Holland to the Findlay-based tire maker's board of directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Holland has been the chief executive officer of Kansas City, Mo.-based Butler Manufacturing Co. since 1999 and chairman of its board since 2001. He joined the company in 1980.
On Cooper's board, he replaces Ronald L. Roudebush, who died last year. Mr. Holland will be nominated for election to a full three-year term at the company's annual shareholders meeting May 6 and will sit on the board's Audit Committee.
Cooper Chairman Thomas A. Dattilo said Mr. Holland “has a proven track record as chief executive of a global manufacturing company, and we look forward to receiving his guidance as we move forward with our Cooper 21 strategic plans.”
