RESTON, Va. (Dec. 18, 2002) — The Tire Industry Association won a national contest among other associations for its membership promotions following the July merger of the International Tire & Rubber Association and the Tire Association of North America.
TIA placed first in a contest hosted by Association Trends, a national weekly newspaper for association executives and suppliers. TIA's entry, “The Benefits of Membership,” was published to help the Reston-based association inform its members of the combined services after the merger. Copies were mailed to all members and are still available to the public by contacting TIA.
“We're proud that TIA, and its marketing efforts, are off to such a great start,” said TIA President Tom Raben.
