NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 10, 2002) — Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire has redesigned its www.bridgestonetire.com Web site to include Spanish content.
The update is part of a 2001 marketing campaign in which the tire maker launched a Spanish version of its TireSafety.com Web site to provide tire safety information to Spanish-speaking customers. In 2002, the Nashville-based company expanded with Spanish advertisements in media outlets. With the updated Web site, Spanish-speaking customers can read company news, select tires, view photos of tuners, download a children's activity book, read information about racing events and locate a BFS store. The site had already been available in English and French.
“The Hispanic population has been growing tremendously in the U.S., and we wanted to grow with this important customer segment,” said Michael Fluck, Internet and diversity marketing manager for the division's Consumer Tire Sales Group.
