PARIS (Oct. 25, 2002) – Michelin North America Inc. is raising prices on certain BFGoodrich truck tires by up to 4 percent, effective Nov. 1.
Michelin did not specify which BFG-brand SKUs would be affected.
The announcement, made in Group Michelin's third quarter financial report, follows by a few weeks Goodyear's announcement it was going to raise prices 4 percent on Goodyear-brand medium truck tires, effective Oct. 15. At the time, it cited dramatic increases in raw material costs, primarily natural rubber.
Michelin last adjusted prices on truck tires March 1, when the firm raised them for selected Michelin and BFG lines up to 3 percent.
