CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Oct. 16, 2002) — Continental tire dealers who met sales quotas during the first quarter were recently treated to a four-day, deep fishing expedition as part of Continental Tire North America Inc.'s dealer incentive program.
The second annual Continental Del Cabo Sportsfest, held in Los Cabos, Mexico, drew accolades from dealers. Attendance at the event increased by more than 50 percent over 2001, the Charlotte-based tire maker said.
Orland Wolford, president and CEO of the Florida-based Tire Kingdom chain, called the personal attention dealers´ business operations receive from Continental "reward enough," but noted that "opportunities such as this make our relationship even stronger."
"The Sportsfest is strictly a reward," said Jeff Jankowski, director of dealer sales for North America, "and we want to treat it as such. Our dealers earned their way by achieving their first quarter goals. We appreciate their commitment and want to show our appreciation in a way that is truly exciting."
