FINDLAY, Ohio (Oct. 1, 2002) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Company has realigned several positions within its marketing and product groups, reassigning five to new responsibilities.
The new assignments are: Dwayne E. Beach, product marketing director; Kurt P. Thomas, retail sales and high-performance/ultra-high performance products manager; Jeffrey S. Helfrich, product planning manager; J. Mark Jackson, HP/UHP marketing manager; and D. Larry Williams, marketing services director.
Mr. Beach will direct product planning and marketing for the company, including the integration of its European efforts. The 31-year Cooper veteran has experience in Cooper´s technical department, having served tire testing and passenger tire engineering before serving as manager of various departments.
Mr. Thomas will continue to manage Cooper's retail channel sales efforts while taking on the direction of all activities related to H, V and Z speed-rated performance products in the passenger and sport truck segments. Mr. Thomas most recently served as global product planning manager for five years. He is a 12-year Cooper veteran.
Mr. Helfrich´s responsibilities include leading efforts in product planning in order to meet customer demands and use company´s resource effectively. He has nearly eight years´ experience in operations and product planning at Cooper.
Mr. Jackson will manage Cooper's performance marketing efforts, including dealer promotions, motorsports activities in the U.S. and the telemarketing initiative for performance products, the tire maker said. He has been with Cooper for nearly nine years, most recently as manager of private and associated brand advertising.
Mr. Williams will manage Cooper's pricing programs for all channels in the North American Tire Division. He will oversee forecasting and planning to support customer service goals and enhance cycle time reduction efforts. Mr. Williams is a 20-year Cooper veteran, most recently working as a manager in international marketing and business development.
