WEST LEBANON, N.H. (Sept. 3, 2002) — Aftermarket repair specialists will have a chance to talk with brake system engineers from General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and DaimlerChrysler A.G.,, when Pro-Cut International holds its third-annual “Big 3 Brake Symposium,” Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Detroit Metro Airport.
First conducted by Pro-cut in 1999, the symposium provides aftermarket service personnel an opportunity to learn about brake and undercar maintenance from the automotive engineers who design the vehicles and systems. It also provides auto makers with “real-world” feedback from those who service those systems after the warranty period expires, Pro-Cut said.
Engineers from the big three U.S.-based auto manufacturers will discuss technical and service-related brake issues concerning their vehicles. Question-and-answer sessions and open discussions will follow their presentations.
Pro-Cut said attendees will include representatives of virtually every major automotive service chain, including those of Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone, Sears Roebuck and Co., Midas International Ltd. and Pep Boys—Many, Moe and Jack.
The symposium is free of charge, but seating is limited. Contact Pro-Cut at (800) 543-6618 or by e-mail at [email protected]
