DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2002) — The 2002 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show will have a new look, new beat and new feel to it, with sections organized according to similar products and products for certain types of vehicles.
“We've developed this new show floor plan with the buyers' interest in mind,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of sales and marketing. The show will be held Nov. 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The sections have been differentiated into the following: International Tire Expo; Mobile Electronics & Technology; Racing & Performance; Restoration Marketplace; Restyling & Accessories Center; Street Rod Alley; Trucks, SUVs, Truck Caps & Accessories; Wheels & Performance Tires; Performance Marine Pavilion and General.
Icons for each of the sections will help direct buyers and exhibiting personnel through the show.
This year's show will have more than 1,400 exhibits, including 12 car maker displays and more than 1,000 project vehicles, SEMA said.
