CYPRESS, Calif. (June 13, 2002) — Toyo Tires (USA) Corp. has launched an e-store on its interactive Web sites, www.toyo.com and www.teamtoyo.com. The e-store provides secure online shopping with what the company calls an easy-to-navigate selection of merchandise.
“The Toyo e-store will provide an opportunity for enthusiasts to purchase specialty items such as clothing and a variety of collectible items,” said Dana Zamalloa, Toyo marketing communications manager. “Besides the traditional line of golf shirts, t-shirts and jackets, Toyo also will offer clothing for women and trendy youth market items.”
Toyo said emphasis will be placed on youth market products, “breaking from the traditional look of bulk-purchased clothing.” Also available, the company said, will be gift items for the so-called Generation Y.
“The dealers really like it,” said Ms. Zamalloa, who said the site has worked well in its first month. “They like that it's easy. They can just go online with the order and submit it. It makes it more economical and more time efficient.”
