Air compressor
Kaeser Compressors Inc. has introduced the Airtower Series, a sigma rotary screw compressor and integral refrigerated air dryer.
The combination unit is ideal for shops with minimal floor space, Kaeser said. Compressor sizes range from three to 40 horsepower, with maximum working pressure available from 80-205 psig. The compressor includes starters, aftercooler, sound-attenuating enclosure and access doors. The dryer is CFC-free and delivers a pressure dewpoint as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Brake service system
BG Products Inc. has introduced the BG PF9 Brake Service System.
Designed to perform the OEM-recommended method of pressure flushing and bleeding brake systems, the BG PF9 empties the master cylinder, pressure flushes with new fluid and vacuums away old fluid. Used fluid is captured and contained in a 21/2-gallon jug.
The BG PF9 includes BG DOT 4 brake fluid and can service up to 15 passenger cars before refilling, BG said. Refilling takes two to three minutes.

Wheel cleaner
Villandry L.L.C. has announced the North American introduction of its premium wheel cleaner, heretofore available in Europe.
GS27 Gel Effect Wheel Cleaner blends mild fruit acids into a unique formula that allows the product to hold contact with the soiled surface and increases its ability to dissolve brake dust and road grime, Villandry said.
The company said the formula leads to wheel cleaning with no scrubbing. Simply apply it, then hose it off.

Literature
Recycling Research Institute has published the 11th edition of the Scrap Tire & Rubber Users Directory.
Updated annually, the directory contains more than 2,200 listings, including company names, mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses.
The 2002 edition features current statistical market data for the Market Price Survey, the company said. This section compares current market prices for tire-derived materials with those reported in the prior year's survey, along with the three preceding years.
The index includes average price ranges for crumb rubber, tire-derived fuel and buffings.
In the new edition, the section featuring rubber reprocessors and materiels suppliers has been expanded.
A section on recycled rubber products walks readers through companies using scrap tire-derived rubber and factory-generated scrap rubber in a variety of products and applications, RRI said.
Also included is coverage of size reduction, processing and materials handling equipment for preparing scrap tires and rubber for recycling. The directory includes listings for scrap tire and rubber companies in Canada, Europe, Asia and other areas of the world, including the U.S., RRI said.

Hydraulic compressor
American Eagle Accessories Group, a division of Stellar Industries, has introduced the model SHD-50Q hydraulic-driven compressor, with an output capacity of 28 cfm at 100 psi and a maximum working pressure of 155 psi.
The SHD-50Q is air-cooled with a canister air inlet filter, the company said. The unit's main function is to operate small air tools used with service trucks.
The SHD-50Q features a cast-aluminum crankcase and cylinder heads and a fiberglass cover. It can be equipped with an optional hydraulic reservoir for independent operations.

Oil flushing system
Snap-on Tools Inc. has introduced the SUN Oil Kare Flush System EESE142A, an oil flushing and cleaning system that removes sludge and build-up that regular oil changes do not clean, the company said.
Using a combination of heat, pressure and cleaning solution, the system removes engine debris through four flushing and recovery stages. Cleaning solution is pumped through the oil port filter with 42 pounds per square inch of pressure, reaching the main bearings, rod bearings, oil galleys, camshaft bearings and valve lifters. Contaminants are dissolved and forced out through the lubrication system, Snap-on said.
The system extracts contaminated solution with its vacuum and separates unwanted material with its micron filters, the company said. The solution is pumped back into the unit's 15-gallon holding tank. The final cycle pushes air through the engine, forcing out excess fluid and/or debris.
The entire process can be completed in 15 minutes.

Smoke tester/floor jack
OTC, a division of SPX Corp., has introduced the portable No. RM1020C Smoke Check 1667 Diesel Smoke Opacity Tester.
The unit enables fleet personnel to determine whether a diesel truck will pass state standards and interstate emission programs, the company said.
With smoke opacity measured inside the stack, tests can be accurately performed even in windy conditions by only one operator, OTC said.
Random roadside testing is possible, since virtually no warm-up is required, the company said. Operators are taken through each step on a digital screen, and a printout verifying results is produced.
The meter meets the latest SAE J1667 specifications and has been used in California, New York, Illinois and the majority of states testing for diesel emissions compliance, SPX said.
OTC also has introduced the No. 1525 two-ton capacity Floor Boss floor jack for lifting low-clearance vehicles. A 48-inch handle and 301/2-inch chassis make positioning easy, the company said.
The Floor Boss has a lifting range of 33/4-221/2 inches. Its back-loaded handle is designed so it won't strike the vehicle's bumper.

Battery maintenance
PulseTech Products Corp. has introduced the RediPulse Pro-10 charge/maintenance system that can charge, improve and possibly recover several lead-acid batteries at the same time. The unit is ideal for stores that sell and/or service batteries, PulseTech said.
The Pro-10 is designed to keep as many as 10 new batteries fresh while sitting in storage. The unit accomplishes this by providing continuous charge/maintenance, the company said. It keeps batteries in better condition by preventing damaging lead-sulfate deposits-the main cause of battery problems and failure-from forming on battery plates.

Pumps/drum wrench
National-Spencer Inc. has introduced a series of oil pumps under its Diamond Selection brand name. Made in Italy, the pumps quickly and quietly dispense oils from 55-gallon drums, the company said.
The air-operated pumps are available in 1-to-1 (Model 1735R), 3-to-1 (1700R and 1702R) and 5-to-1 (1730R and 1745) ratios for various applications.
All pumps include an air filter with automatic water drain and a 2-inch NPT drum adapter.
A double-action manual pump (models 1208 and 1209) dispenses 4 ounces of fluid per stroke and features and adjustable lever for a range of viscosities. Both manual pumps include a drum cover, 5 feet of output hose and a drum dolly. Model 1208 also includes a pint meter.
National Spencer has also introduced the Zee Line Universal Drum Wrench for use on both metal and plastic drums.
The powder-coated steel construction and spoke design allows for more torque and easier opening of drums, minimizing hand injuries while opening the most popular caps, bungs and container plugs, the company said.
