FULLERTON, Calif. (May 3, 2002) — Yokohama Tire Corp. will add emergency roadside service to all its national accounts.
Dubbed YES (Yokohama Emergency Service), the program includes all Yokohama medium truck commercial tires available through Yokohama's national account program.
All national accounts in good standing with the company are eligible for the program. Yokohama dealers stocking Yokohama commercial tires and providing 24-hour service will be included in the referral listing, according to the Fullerton-based tire maker.
The cost for national accounts includes a $25 service fee, standard labor charges and the cost of the tires, Yokohama said.
“YES is a valuable tool for our customers,” says Jim MacMaster, executive vice president for Yokohama. “For our national accounts, it means no-hassle, roadside service anywhere, anytime. The result is less down time and more productivity for fleets. The benefit to our dealers is additional revenue generating business through the program referrals. The best part is that the program is hassle-free.”
The YES program is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dispatchers locate the nearest Yokohama dealer available for service. Yokohama coordinates service, verifies credit, issues purchase orders and completes all necessary paper work, the company said.
