FONTANA, Calif. (April 29, 2002)—Rick Brennan, previously director of market communications at Yokohama Tire Corp., has joined Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. as high performance brand manager.
In this newly created position, Mr. Brennan is responsible for providing input on ultra-high performance tire positioning and product performance, and increasing awareness and exposure of Kumho's grassroots motorsports programs. He also is responsible for increasing awareness of the Kumho brand among car enthusiast groups and for establishing tire dealer education programs and materials.
Mr. Brennan joins Kumho with nearly 35 years of experience in the tire industry, including nine years at Yokohama where he held such positions as motorsports manager, director of strategic planning and director of product planning.
He began his tire industry career working in a Bridgestone warehouse while in high school. He stayed with Bridgestone for nearly 24 years and held numerous positions including field engineer, technical product manager, motorsports engineering and service manager and high performance marketing manager.
