NEW ORLEANS (April 25, 2002)—Bridgestone/Firestone introduced four tires for highway and off-road use during its Bizcon 6 commercial tire conference on April 25.
At the New Orleans meeting, BFS rolled out the Firestone FS560 PLUS radial, designed for urban use, on-highway refuse hauling, construction and pickup-and-delivery applications. The tire comes in G- and H-load ratings for 22.5- and 24.5-inch wheels.
It also debuted two Dayton radials for Class 6, 7 and 8 trucks. The Dayton On/Off-Highway All-Position is for construction, logging, refuse hauling and other on-off highway uses. It has an H-load rating and is available in sizes for 22.5- and 24.5-inch wheels.
The Dayton Radial Metro All-Position is designed for trucks used in short hauls and for pickup and delivery. It is available in G- and H-load ratings for 22.5- and 24.5-inch wheels. BFS also debuted the VCHS radial for port and industrial container handling equipment in 18.00R25 and 18.00R33 sizes.
