LANGLEY, British Columbia (April 22, 2002)—O.K. Tire Stores Inc. has agreed to become the official tire retailer of the Canadian Football League.
The sponsorship includes the regular season, playoffs and Grey Cup games in Edmonton, Alberta, and Regina, Saskatchewan.
“Our customers are football fans,” said Bruce Hawley, O.K. Tire's director of dealer support & communication. “They recognize the importance of the CFL in Canada and the strength of the Grey Cup.”
The CFL is Canada's oldest professional sports league, with teams in nine Canadian cities. The 90th Grey Cup, the CFL's version of the Super Bowl, will be held Nov. 24 in Edmonton.
O.K. Tire Stores is Canada's largest dealer-owned company, with 215 independent locations throughout Canada. The company does annual retail sales of more than $250 million.
